Having the home/property ready for photography is an important step to complete before the photographer arrives on site. If you want your listing to look it’s best in photos it is important for the agent and homeowner to complete these steps.

Exterior

  • Remove cars from the driveway and from in front of property

  • Remove bicycles and other toys from the front and back yard

  • Remove hoses, yard tools and random junk from the front and backyard

  • Remove refuse bins from in front of the house, keep them in the garage for picture day if possible

  • Cut the grass, trim bushes, remove weeds from front of house

  • Remove holiday and seasonal items

  • Remove leaves, excessive yard waste debris and snow

Kitchen & Bath

  • Clear off the countertops and bathroom vanity as much as possible, a few thoughtful items is ok.

  • Remove dish soap, towels, sponges and other cleaning supplies

  • Remove rugs

  • Remove robes and other items that are hanging on the back of the door

  • Remove pet food bowls

  • Remove magnets and other items hanging on the refrigerator

  • Hide refuse bins

  • Make the beds
  • Remove family portraits from the walls, you want the buyer to be able to envision themselves living there. 

  • Remove diplomas, awards and certificates from the walls

  • Pick up cloths from the floor

  • Remove pet bedding

  • Declutter tables and dressers

  • Remove boxed and visible under the bed storage
